Hernan Rostan was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began his musical studies at the age of 9 in a family circle full of music. His training in classical music left a mark on his technique and after finishing his studies he shifted his focus to the popular music of Buenos Aires: the tango. On August 10th, 2023 he presented a repertoire ranging from the beginnings of tango song to its most contemporary forms.

The Sanctuary, based in Arcata, CA on the unceded lands of the Wiyot people was honored to host Hernan and is now glad to be able to share the full performance to a wider audience. Weaving warm stories and anecdotes between fantastic guitar and piano, Hernan will leave you inspired, educated and lightened.
